Windows XP Hidden Program

You can call this for newbie but how many of you know about IExpress? If you are using Microsoft Windows as your operating system maybe you have heard this, but I’m sure that there is an uncountable person who also never heard about this. That’s why I called this ‘Windows Hidden Program’.

AdieStudio no particular Theory said:
‘Microsoft always hidden something in their products and let the users to find it by themselves ;). Some hidden idea and commands maybe buried there’

Just try these commands on Run Mode to prove it: ‘dxdiag, regedit, cmd, winchat, winpopup, etc’.
What?? Windows cannot find ‘bla bla bla’? Easy man, check your Operating System Version first. There is not only a kind of version. Like the theory said ‘They buried it there’

You don’t need to install anything else here. Just a little bit of experience to install, and the rest is about your creativity how to use it.

How it works?
•    Open Run Mode and type ‘IExpress’ (without ‘ )
•    IExpress wizard should open well

How I use it?
•    I use notepad to help me save the file named MyFileName.vbs
•    You can paste this code in to notepad

x = Msgbox(”test experiment on self-extracting executable “,4+16 ,What ever you want…….”SYSTEM Crash!! Warning!!   Shutdown immediately”)

•    Save your file.vbs on the desktop
•    Create shortcut for this file
•    Change the icon first and then use IExpress to help you installing it.

It’s done. Easy huh?! ;)
Be creative to use it, there is a billion ideas out there.

From the Microsoft website about IExpress:

Express is a technology designed to simplify creation of a setup program. Using the step-by-step IExpress Wizard, you can create self-extracting files that automatically run the setup program contained inside. The setup program can be an .inf file or an executable program. IExpress technology automatically removes the setup files after installation, saving the user time and frustration.

The IExpress Wizard can help you carry out specialized installations of your customized browser package, such as determining whether the computer needs to be restarted after installation. You can find the IExpress Wizard (IExpress.exe) in the \\Tools folder.

Just type IExpress into the run box (Windows key + R) to get started.
